About this grant
The Edmonton Immigrant and Refugee Community (EIRC) Grant Program supports grassroots immigrant and refugee communities settling and integrating in Edmonton. It offers three funding streams: Space Subsidy (up to $4,000), Community Action (up to $10,000), and System Impact (up to $20,000). Eligible organizations must be based in Edmonton, have an operating budget of $200,000 or less, and be a non-profit, collective/grassroots group with a fiscal agent, or other eligible entity.
Who can apply
- Organizations and fiscal agents must be based in Edmonton and serve Edmontonians.
- Organizations must have a total Operating Budget that is $200,000 or less.
- Applicants must be in good standing with the City regarding reporting requirements.
- Applicants must have sound financial health based on at least 1 year of financial statements.
- Eligible applicants: Non-Profit Organization (registered for at least 1 year and in good standing), Collective/Grassroots Group (must have a fiscal agent).
Who cannot apply
- Individual applicants are not eligible.
- Festivals and stand-alone events are not eligible.
Application process
- Submit online application through the Community Investment Grant Portal.
- Required documents: Project budget form, 2024 or 2025 audited or internally generated financial statements signed by 2 board members.
- Application intake period: February 27 - April 7, 2026.
- After submission, applications are reviewed and assessed; applicants may be contacted for clarification.
- Successful applicants will be notified in June 2026 and must sign a funding agreement.
