About this grant
The Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) supports projects to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions, generate clean growth, build resilient communities, and create good jobs. It provides funding through four streams: Low Carbon Economy Challenge, Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund, Indigenous Leadership Fund, and Implementation Readiness Fund.
Who can apply
- Organizations and businesses in Canada
- First Nations, Inuit, and Métis governments, communities, and organizations (for Indigenous Leadership Fund)
- Provinces and territories (for Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund)
- Projects that reduce GHG emissions
Who cannot apply
- Projects outside Canada
- Applications for currently closed streams (First Nations and Designated funding streams)
