About this grant
The Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program (MARP) funds community-based initiatives that address systemic racism, discrimination, and hate, and promote intercultural understanding. It supports projects, events, organizational capacity building, and Holocaust remembrance. Eligible applicants include Canadian not-for-profits, Indigenous organizations, and municipalities under 10,000 population.
Who can apply
- Canadian not-for-profit organizations, associations and unincorporated groups
- Canadian incorporated and unincorporated municipalities and townships with a population of up to 10,000
- Indigenous not-for-profit organizations (First Nations, Inuit and Métis)
- Indigenous governments, band councils and tribal councils
Who cannot apply
- Organizations or individuals that adopt racist, antisemitic or other forms of hateful content
- For-profit organizations
- Individuals (unless part of an eligible group)
Application process
- Carefully read the application guidelines of the specific program component.
- Obtain the funding application package from the relevant program component web page.
- Complete the Application Form with a concise project title and description.
- Present activities chronologically: planning, implementation, evaluation.
- Include partner contributions if applicable.
- Describe your organization's capacity and past achievements.
- Complete the Budget Form, ensuring consistency with the application.
- Sign the declaration and attestation.
- Attach all required supporting documents.
- Submit your application by email to the appropriate regional office.
