About this grant

The Supports for Newcomer Integration (SNI) grants help eligible organizations deliver settlement services, English language assessments, and flexible English language learning programs for newcomers living and working in Alberta. The program has THREE streams: Stream 1 funds settlement and community support services for a broad group including temporary workers and refugee claimants; Stream 2 funds language assessment and referral services mainly for permanent residents; and Stream 3 funds drop-in English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes primarily for permanent residents and naturalized citizens. NOTE: The program is currently CLOSED — no new Call for Proposals is being accepted. Existing agreements were extended to March 31, 2025. A new intake was expected in fall/winter 2024 but no new CFP has been announced as of the page's last update.
